I painted Steadfast as a picture of quiet companionship and the peace that comes from knowing you don't have to walk through life alone. Two horses stand together at the fence line, resting beneath the shade of an old tree. Nothing dramatic is happening—they are simply near each other, sharing the stillness of the moment.
That simplicity is what drew me to Isaiah 26:3. God promises a peace that comes from keeping our minds fixed on Him and trusting Him, even when everything around us is uncertain. I wanted these two horses to reflect that kind of settled peace—the comfort of being close, staying grounded, and knowing where you belong.
The tree provides shade, the fence gives a sense of home, and the horses simply remain together. Steadfast is a reminder that God's presence is steady even when our circumstances aren't, and that sometimes the most beautiful kind of faith is simply choosing to remain.
